What Is Rinse?

How Does Rinse Work?
However, in order to successfully let Rinse run those features, you need to perform 3 easy steps.
Step 1
The first thing that you need to do, is that you open up the Rinse program. Here you’ll see 4 options:
1 – Fix Your Songs.
2 – Find Duplicate Songs.
3 – Organize Genres
4 - Add Album Art
Now you simply select what you want Rinse to do.
Step 2
So, once you’ve selected what you want Rinse to do, the program is now asking you a couple of things to verify what you want the program to do, and what you don’t want the program to do.
Here are 2 of the questions that you’ll need to answer.
“When a duplicate file has been found, add duplicate to the file it’s name or remove it from itunes?”
“When comparing songs, compare name, artist and album or just name and artist?”
You simply select what you prefer Rinse to do. Also, there are a couple of more questions, but this is all to make sure that Rinse doesn’t do anything what’s not supposed to be done. (Since you may have thousands of songs)
Step 3
So once you’ve answered the questions from step 2, Rinse will now start scanning your iTunes library to find either duplicates, misspelled details, missing album artwork and genres.
Once the scan has been completed, Rinse will show you the results, and they will ask you whether you want to remove or repair the founded files.
Simply select either remove or repair files and Rinse will automatically start organizing your iTunes library.
